The Rolls Royce RR300 is an engine family featuring new technology and advanced design. The new turbine intended for rotary-wing aircraft applications will provide to end customers: lower acquisition and operating costs; low-weight, compact design; improved specific fuel consumption; an embedded engine monitoring system; and an optional, through-life, peace-of-mind maintenance program. FAA type certification is expected in 2008.
