The French Army's SAIDRe (Système d'Acquisition d'Information et de Renseignement or Information and Intelligence Acquisition System) is an intelligence gathering system based on remote battlefield sensors to be operated by special operation forces and army intelligence. The SAIDRe system is intended to operate close to battlefield threats looking for targets gathering indications and images that are provided as proof sent in real-time to command and control (C2) centers. The energy-efficient sensor array used by this intelligence system are provided by Exensor and include: seismic, acoustic and infrared technologies with day/night imagers. Besides, the sensors are being designed as light, powerful and modular. The first prototypes will be delivered in early 2016 with the subsequent field testing. The French Defense procurement agency (DGA) awarded the development contract for the SAIDRe system to Sagem as primer contractor and Exensor on April 14, 2015. An initial batch of 70 systems will provided to the French Army with additional orders expected to follow.
