The Helsinki-class missile boats have been designed to conduct anti-surface warfare (ASuW) with limited anti-aircraft warfare (AAW) capability. The Wartsila shipyard built four ships which were commissioned by the Finnish Navy between 1981 and 1985. Two ex-Finnish Navy boats were sold to Croatia and delivered in October 2008. The Helsinki-class ships are equipped with eight RBS15 anti-ship missiles, 2x6 Mistral surface-to-air missiles or two dual 23mm AA guns, and one 57mm dual purpose gun. The propulsion system consists of three diesel engines and three shafts allowing for a top speed of 30 knots. The ship's electronic gear includes 9LV-225 missile fire control, Simrad SS304 sonar and Argo electronic warfare (EW) system.
