The 9M311 is a Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) featuring a semi-active radar guidance system. The 9M311-1 is an enhanced version of the 9M311 semi-active radar guided Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM). This weapon is intended against rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles at ranges between 1,500 meters and 10,000 meters and altitudes of 5 meters to 6,000 meters. The 9M311-1 missile is associated with Kashtan-M shipborne close-in weapon system and the Tunguska-M1 ground-based air defense system.
