The Russian Air Force PBK-500U is a glide cluster bomb dispenser developed by Tehmash fitted with special thrusting engines as propulsion system to hit its intended targets independently from the carrier aircraft. The new munitions dispenser is intended to hit a variety of targets such as armored vehicles, radar stations, command posts, air defense systems and power plants. PBK-500U was showcased at the Moscow Airshow in July 2017. It achieved initial operational capability with the Russian Air Force in April 2018.
