The Paveh is a hypersonic ballistic cruise missile developed by the Islamic Republic of Iran with an estimated range of 1,650 to 2,000 kilometers. The Paveh missile can operate outside the atmosphere. At 300-400 kilometers from the target, the terminal engine ignites reaching a top speed Mach 12-13 while being directed by Thrust Vector Control (TVC). The existence of the Paveh hypersonic missile was made public by the Islamic Republic of Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps in late February 2023. The new weapon is fired as a ballistic missile and will allow Iran to hit any target across the Middle East.
