PW300
Initial Operational Capability (IOC) : 1993

The PW300 is a family of turbofan engines designed by Pratt & Whitney Canada to meet the requirements of Super Mid-Size corporate aircraft. These engines yield from 4,500 to 8,000 pounds thrust range. Moreover, they are clean, quiet and offer low operating costs. This engine family incorporates the latest component technologies such as a damage-resistant wide chord fan and a titanium alloys centrifugal impeller. The PW300 engines also feature Full Authority Digital Electronic Control (FADEC) for reduced pilot workload.
As of early 2008, the PW300 engine family has logged more than 6.5 million flight hours powering roughly 1,000 aircraft in 50 countries. The PW300 program includes eight engine variants.
