The Italian Navy High-Speed Multi-Purpose Vessel (UNPAV) is a landing boat used by the Italian Operational Incursion Group (Special Forces). The UNPAV are 40 meters long, 8 meters wide and powered by three MTU 2000 diesel engines connecting with three Kamewa S4 water jets. The Italian Navy ordered two vessels in 2016 with these boats to be commissioned in 2017-2018. Intermarine Spa will be responsible for the construction of the vessels under a 40 million deal. The construction of the lead ship started in October 2016.

Rolls-Royce to Power Italian Navy UNPAV Landing Crafts

Rolls-Royce has won a contract to supply engines and waterjets to power and propel two new high-speed vessels designed and built by Intermarine (Immsi Group) for the Italian Navy.
