Russian Armed Forces Destroyed 59 M777 155mm Towed Howitzers, 13 Paladin Self-Propelled Howitzers and 14 HIMARS Launchers in Ukraine so far in 2023

The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, named the number of foreign artillery systems and multiple rocket launchers destroyed since the beginning of this year in the zone of the special military operation.

According to the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which he announced at a thematic conference call with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces on Tuesday, April 4, Ukraine lost 59 155-mm M-777 guns, 13 Paladin self-propelled artillery mounts and 14 American-made MLRS HIMARS launchers.

In addition, the Russian military destroyed more than three dozen self-propelled artillery installations from Poland, Germany, France and the Czech Republic.

"The United States and its allies are building up military assistance to Ukraine. It has been stated that this year alone they are ready to supply over 200 Western-made tanks , more than 400 modern armored combat vehicles. We are purposefully destroying weapons and military equipment sent by the West, both in combat positions and on stage of transportation," the minister stressed.

Attacks on Ukrainian targets also continue. As a result of the use of high-precision weapons, it was possible to disrupt the production of some types of weapons and the supply of fuel and ammunition to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sergei Shoigu noted that long-range weapons are being transferred to the Ukrainian army. In particular, we are talking about rockets with a range increased to 150 kilometers. In addition, ATACMS operational-tactical missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers and F-16 fighters can be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This possibility is now being considered by Western countries.

Speaking about the situation on the line of contact , the head of the department said that the Russian army continues to liberate Donbass and stressed that military operations are systematically developing in the area of ​​Artemovsk, Avdiivka, in the Liman and Kupyansk directions.
